Price your whole estate, not your logins.

Every asset you own — production equipment, lifting gear, mobile plant, safety equipment and bespoke machinery — can sit on one controlled record. Add monitoring, Guard and remote access only where they make sense. Move the sliders for an indicative annual cost.

These are Pointnode’s standard direct prices. Service providers may include Pointnode within a wider inspection, maintenance or support agreement under their own commercial terms.

Count everything you have to keep records for. We confirm the complexity band for each asset class in your quote.

Optional, per asset. PLC monitoring streams full condition data from the machine’s controller; LoRaWAN sensors report periodically and need no PLC. Licences apply to your highest-complexity assets first in this estimate.

Guard turns a failed pre-use check into a controlled out-of-service state. On compatible assets, an interlock can also inhibit start. Remote Access lets authorised engineers reach a controller without a site visit.

Priced once for the whole organisation, not per asset.

Build the value case

One currency: the Asset Unit

A complex production asset and a simple inspection item can both need a controlled record, but they are not the same job. So every asset carries a weight in Asset Units, and everything — the platform, every licence, the AI layer — is priced in that one currency. No per-user fees, no per-inspection fees, no per-document fees.

25

High-complexity assets

For example large cranes, production lines or process equipment with complex records and condition data.

15

Vehicles

Cars, vans, HGVs and trailers with daily checks, defects, servicing and annual-test history.

10

Medium & powered assets

For example jibs, pumps, panels, forklifts and MEWPs. The same control model, proportionately priced.

1

Simple, high-volume assets

For example slings, ladders, extinguishers or gauges. Priced so a large register remains realistic.

The rate falls as you grow

Each band of Asset Units costs less than the one before it, on the platform line and on every licence. Bringing your whole estate on is the cheap move, not the expensive one.

The things other vendors meter

None of these carry a line on your invoice, at any estate size.

  • Unlimited users. Every operator, engineer and manager. Hire a technician, pay nothing more.
  • Unlimited inspections and records. Your inspection regimes, servicing, pre-use checks and defects, including LOLER and PUWER where applicable.
  • Certificates and regulator exports. Signed PDF certificates, bulk export packs, tamper-evident audit trail.
  • Your inspectors, at no charge. Invite your third-party examiners into their own portal — they never need a seat.
  • The mobile app. Tap a tag, run the check, file the record.
  • An administrative lock-out on every asset. A failed check can take any item out of service, including assets without monitoring hardware.

The things finance asks

The full mechanics — cycles, proration, payment terms — are on how billing works.

How are we billed?

Annually in advance, on one invoice, ex-VAT. Most estates come to two or three lines: the platform, your monitoring licences, and Guard. Payment terms are Net-30.

What happens when we add an asset mid-year?

You’re charged pro-rata for the remainder of the term, at your current band. Because bands get cheaper as your estate grows, adding assets rarely costs what the first one did.

And when we scrap or condemn something?

Take it out of service in the app and it stops counting at your next renewal. The records stay — you still have to produce them for a regulator years later, so we keep them and don’t charge you for the privilege.

Do we have to instrument anything to start?

No. The common way in is records-only: import your register, tag your gear, and be running in days with no hardware and no site visit. Monitoring is something you add later to the assets that justify it.

What about SIMs and connectivity?

Quoted separately, because it’s a genuine cost we pass through rather than a software line. If you’d rather use your own SIM or site WiFi, you can — it comes off the bill.

Can our service provider manage the subscription?

Yes. A service provider can fund several customer organisations through one pooled Pointnode account, while each customer keeps its own secure organisation and asset history. The provider may bundle Pointnode with its own services; customers that prefer a direct Pointnode agreement can move without re-importing their data.
